Since the launch of Set 7, players around the world have started experimenting with the new traits and even showcasing instances of insane RNG. Players have already started climbing the competitive ladder and the road to the TFT Dragonlands Championship has officially begun. Read below for more information about the Championship dates, prize pool increases, format updates, and regional qualifiers.

Global Championship

The TFT Dragonlands Championship will take place over three days from November 18 - 20. The tournament will bring together 32 of the best players from our 8 TFT regions and will be played remotely on the Tournament Realm.

Prize Pool Updates

During Gizmos & Gadgets, the prize pool received a boost from $250K to $300K. In this Set, the total prize pool will see another increase from $300K to $456K!

While players are constantly fighting for placement, we wanted to put extra emphasis on the reward for high placement on the final day. We’ve significantly increased the prize pool for 1st and 2nd place, drastically increasing the stakes on the last day of competition. The full breakdown of the prize pool can be found below:

Format

Throughout the tournament, points will be awarded for each player based on the results of each round: 8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 (ie: first place wins 8 points, eighth place wins 1 point).

  • Day 1
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 5 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games
    • [NEW] All 32 players will advance from Day 1 to Day 2
  • Day 2
    • [NEW] Players maintain their points from Day 1
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 5 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games
    • Top 8 players will advance from Day 2 to Day 3
  • Day 3
    • The top 8 players will play in a checkmate format
    • The first player to earn 18 points, and then get 1st place in a round will be crowned the TFT Dragonlands Champion!

Regional Qualifiers

To earn a spot at the TFT Dragonlands Championship, players must qualify by advancing through a series of regional tournaments. See below for a calendar of events from each region:

The top players in each region will be invited to compete for the title of the TFT Dragonlands Champion and to claim the Golden Spatula trophy later this year!
