Get ready for Set 8.5 Esports in the APAC region, where top competitive players in Asia will have a chance to battle against the world's best players.

In Set 8.5 Esports, players from the SEA region can compete through their esports circuit, which will provide them with a chance to qualify for TFT Championship for the first time. This will undoubtedly increase the competitiveness of the SEA region, as players will now have a goal to strive for, as well as a platform to showcase their skills.

Additionally, Korea, Japan, and Oceania players will have separate qualifying routes to advance to the Championship. Set 8.5 Esports Circuit promises to be an exciting event in the world of TFT esports.

While there are five different servers running for Teamfight Tactics, two different routes will be provided for SEA players : Vietnam / 4 Other Regions (SG/ID/MY, TH, PH, MW/MO/HK)

Vietnam Open Qualifiers #3 (7-9 Apr)

Participants: 256 Players

Format

  • Day 1
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 128 Players will be qualified to Day 2
  • Day 2
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 64 Players will be qualified to the next round.
    • Next Round: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 32 Players will be qualified to Day 3.
  • Day 3
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 16 Players will be qualified to the next round.
    • Next Round: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 8 Players will be qualified to the regional.

Participants: 256 Players (For all players lost in Open Qualifier #3 and Waitlisted Players)

  • Day 1
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 128 Players will be qualified to Day 2
  • Day 2
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 64 Players will be qualified to the next round.
    • Next Round: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 32 Players will be qualified to Day 3.
  • Day 3
    • Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 4 rounds each without reseeding. 16 Players will be qualified to the next round.

SEA Regional Cup #2 (28-30 Mar)

Participants: 32 Players

Format

  • Day 1: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 6 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games. Top 16 players will progress to Day 2
  • Day 2: Players will be split into groups of 8 and play 6 rounds each. The groups will be shuffled after the first two games. Top 8 players will progress to Day 2
  • Day 3: Checkmate Format - Players will play games until the first player to earn 18 points, and then get 1st place in a round will be crowned the SEA Champion

Prize Pool: USD 10,000 + 3 Championship Spot + 2 Eastern LCQ Spot

SG/ID/MY, TH, PH, MW/MO/HK Division

TW & HK Local Open Qualifiers (1 Apr, 3-4 Apr, 6-7 Apr)

Kayle Open Qualifiers (31 Mar - 2 Apr)

Format

  • Day 1: Players will play 4 games, with lobbies randomized each game. The 56 highest scoring players proceed to Day 2
  • Day 2:
    • Round 1: Players’ points from Day 1 will be reset. The 56 players from Day 1 and the top 8 players from the ladder snapshots will play 4 games. The 32 highest scoring players proceed to Round 2
    • Round 2: Players retain their points from Round 1 and will play 3 games with lobbies seeded based on the final point standings from Round 1. The 16 highest scoring players proceed to Day 3.
  • Day 3:
    • Round 1: Players’ points from Day 2 will be reset. Players will play 4 games. The 8 highest scoring players proceed to the Final Round.
    • Final Round: Players retain their points from Round 1 and will play 3 games with lobbies seeded based on the final point standings from Round 1. The 4 highest scoring players will qualify for the Underground Cup.
