TL;DW: For Demacia Dev Update

Hey everyone, Pabro, Meddler, 100pc nuggets, Riot Hylia, Riot Commish, and Riot Magus here with a quick TL;DW of today’s Dev Update:

• The gameplay and Ranked changes we talked about in December will be live tomorrow.

• Shyvana is finally getting her update in Act 2 of this Season, which will be similar to Dr. Mundo or Volibear.

• The map will have a Demacia-themed reskin with petricite towers and gold winged accents.

• There’s also a new, evolving meta-game called “Demacia Rising,” which goes live tomorrow, where you'll help grow the Kingdom of Demacia.

• We’re extending ARAM: Mayhem’s run, and it’s getting a larger update in patch 26.03.

• We are trialing a new lobby hostage intervention system in some regions to take immediate action on bad actors in your lobbies that will start rolling out over the next few patches.

• We have new skins for Briar and Samira, and stylized mecha anime-inspired skins for Galio and Ornn.

• Our Lunar Revel celebration will bring back Firecracker skins and introduce a new thematic, called Petals of Spring.

• The Victorious skin this Season will be for Braum.

• Viego’s Exalted skin will be out this Season.

• We're kicking off the 2026 esports season with First Stand in São Paulo, Brazil from March 16–22.

• MSI will be in Daejeon, South Korea.

• We're introducing "First Selection" to decouple side selection and draft order, giving pro teams more strategic flexibility.

• We’re working on bigger, long-term updates for League (not League of Legends 2) that include a brand new integrated client, a revamped Summoner’s Rift, changes to pre-game choices such as runes, and an overhauled new player experience.

• We'll share more about these massive updates sometime this year between MSI and Worlds.
